June is Pride month, and you can find a comprehensive listing of international, national, and local Pride celebrations at interpride.org. Since 1982, Pride organizations from around the world have become members of InterPride, playing a role in organizing celebrations and choosing an international LGBT Pride theme. In addition to a listing of Pride events, InterPride offers links to news stories and conferences for the LGBT community.

Resources for Parents, Teachers, and Friends

Welcome to the Rainbow Rumpus Resource pages for parents, teachers, and friends of kids with GLBT parents

For parents there are resources for starting a family and connecting to others in our community, including print resources for you to check out at your local library or bookstore. For teachers we have resources for helping children of LGBT parents in school and to help you better understand the perspective these kids come from. For friends and allies, our resources will help you learn about LGBT-headed families and give you some ideas on how you can help.

If you know of a website, article, book, or other resource that you’ve found helpful and would like us to consider posting, please email us at resources@rainbowrumpus.org. Want to know how we choose resources? Check out the criteria for inclusion on the Rainbow Rumpus Resource page.

We hope you find many new websites, organizations, and other sources of information here. Happy searching!
