Book Review: My Uncle’s Wedding by Eric Ross

by Hannah Crawford

Uncle Mike and Steve are getting married, and Mike’s nephew Andy knows what that means—party time!

When Uncle Mike and Steve tell Andy the big news, Andy is very excited. They ask him to help them plan the wedding. Andy says, “Yes!” If it were up to Andy, the wedding guests would get to eat chicken nuggets, French fries, and milkshakes, and there would be ten different kinds of cake. Mike and Steve might have different ideas, though.

Follow Andy as he helps his uncle prepare for the big day. Andy has a lot of fun, but he has a serious job, too. He is the ring bearer in the wedding. His sister, Sara, also helps. She is the flower girl. You’ll have to read the story to see if Andy drops the ring!

Most important of all, though, Andy learns what makes weddings really special. He knows that Mike and Steve love each other, and his family is going to get bigger. Like he says, “I think two uncles are better than one.”

My Uncle’s Wedding is illustrated by Tracy K. Greene and available at Amazon.com.
