Recently I’ve been thinking about the power of children’s stories more than ever. My wife and I had our first child, Louis, at the beginning of April. Children are born with nothing and as parents we build their world for them. We received many children’s books as presents leading up to his birth. Some are funny, some teach a lesson, and some build skills, but none are like what we publish at Rainbow Rumpus. As we fill our bookshelf and read to him at night, I am even more aware of the importance of the stories Rainbow Rumpus publishes and the special impact these stories have on all families.

Earlier this spring the board hosted our annual Board Book fundraiser. We were very successful, meeting our goal and raising more than $3,000 from over 75 people. Even more exciting, we grew our support base and connected with many first time donors.

July 29th, Mark your calendars now! While it is exciting to bring new people into the Rainbow Rumpus fold, it is just as important for us to nurture our relationships with you! July 29th is the Rainbow Rumpus Summer Celebration and if you are in Minnesota we hope to see you there. Keep your eyes on your inbox for further details as we get closer to the event. This year we are excited to be at Fulton Brewery.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Rainbow Rumpus.

Sincerely,
