Catie Curtis grew up in
Maine
. When she was a little girl, she wanted to play the drums. She got her first drum kit when she was twelve years old. When she was fifteen, she got a job playing drums for a theater production at an amusement park near her home. The production manager of the show gave Catie her first guitar, saying, “I’ll give you this if you promise me you’ll learn to play it.” Catie taught herself to play and write songs by listening to musicians she liked.
Now Catie is a musician who tours and plays around the world. She has released eight CDs, and another one is coming out this summer. Her songs have been on TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Alias and in movies like Our Lips Are Sealed. Catie lives in
Boston
with her partner. They have two daughters who are three and five years old.
